Thursday night May 16 at 7:00 on WILL-FM 90.9 you’ll hear another episode of “The Sound of 13”, a program that investigates the intersection between the 13th Amendment and classical music. At 8:00 it’s “The Middle”: a weekly, non-partisan call-in talk show on politics.
Wednesday night May 15 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the San Francisco Symphony. You’ll hear Ravel’s “Le Tombeau de Couperin”, and Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet”. Also on the program Bela Bartók’s “Second Piano Concerto” featuring soloist Pierre-Laurent Aimard. Music Director Esa-Pekka Salonen conducts.
Tuesday night May 14 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Saint-Saëns’s “Symphony No. 3” and Poulenc’s “Concerto in G Minor for Organ, Strings, and Timpani” featuring Cameron Carpenter. Opening the program is Dukas’s “The Sorcerer’s Apprentice”.
Monday night May 13 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear a 2010 recording of Gustav Mahler’s “6th Symphony” conducted by Alan Gilbert. Also on the program Mozart's “Overture to ‘The Magic Flute’” and Schubert's “Overture to ‘The Magic Harp’”.
Sunday night May 12 the Evening Concert starts at 5:00 o’clock with the “Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival”, followed at 6:00 by the “Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center”, at 7:00 by Fiesta, and at 8:00 by Gateways Radio.

Tuesday night May 7 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s the “Chicago Symphony Orchestra Radio Broadcast”. You’ll hear Grieg’s Piano Concerto with soloist Simon Trpčeski. Xian Zhang (Shen Zhong) guest conducts. Also on the program Prokofiev’s “6th Symphony” and Nokuthula Ngwenyama’s “Primal Message”.
Monday night May 6 at 7:00 on the “Evening Concert” on WILL-FM 90.9 it’s “The New York Philharmonic This Week”. You’ll hear a 2011 recording in which Alan Gilbert conducted a staged production of Janáček's seventh opera, “The Cunning Little Vixen”, a playful, yet poignant, reflection on the cycle of life.
