Book Two Cheers for Politics

In his book Two Cheers for Politics: Why Democracy Is Flawed, Frightening—and Our Best Hope, author Jedediah Purdy argues that political polarization, dehumanization of politician opponents, and the generally heated political climate is actually a result of too little democracy, not too much.

He joined The 21st to talk about the discontent Americans across the political spectrum have been feeling with our system of government and what can be done to revitalize faith in democracy.
