Introducing the Rebuilding Foundations project

For over twenty years, students at University Laboratory High School have worked with Illinois Public Media to produce audio documentaries covering a wide range of issues. Their latest project has taken them further afield than usual:  to Clarksdale, Mississippi and other Delta communities, to see how Habitat for Humanity and other organizations are bringing greater opportunity and renewed purpose to people's lives.

Building: A Habitat Home And A LEGO Skyscraper

On the 21st: We spoke with three Illinois religious leaders who are part of an interfaith effort to build a Habitat for Humanity house. Plus, we met the artist behind the LEGO exhibit at Chicago’s Museum of Science and Industry and learned about the effect toys can have on children's perceptions of their own abilities.
