Police Report 2nd Arrest In Redding Murder

 

Champaign Police now have two suspects in custody in connection with last month’s murder of Allen Redding.

Police says 38-year-old Paul Craig of Champaign turned himself in at the Champaign County Sheriff’s office early Thursday morning. He was wanted on charges including unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon. He joins another suspect, Devon Craig, who was arrested in Chicago last week.

Police are still looking for a third suspect, 30-year-old Micah Hopkins of Champaign.

Allen Redding was killed June 24th on Hedge Road in Champaign’s Garden Hills neighborhood. He was the victim of one of several shootings that have been reported in Champaign-Urbana over the last several weeks.
