Timothy Ehlen and Allen Schwab for University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra

The University of Illinois Symphony Orchestra is one of the gems of the University’s music program, sounding better than many professional orchestras and offering very inexpensive concerts. They play in Urbana Friday night in a concert featuring UI faculty pianist Timothy Ehlen as soloist. On the Wednesday edition of “Live and Local,” I’ll talk with Mr. Ehlen, and with Allen Schwab of Washington University, who will give a pre-concert lecture.
